The Sargodha visit provided an insight into the digitalization of the police system in Pakistan. The visit enlightened the delegation on how the digitalized police system had contributed towards augmentation of an efficient justice system in Pakistan through professionally developing, operating, upgrading and maintaining computerized systems for recording and reporting offences. This included special reference to the digitization of record keeping and the entire process of reporting First Information Report(s) (F.I.R). The visit included both the urban and rural police stations. The delegation also visited the District Prison, Sargodha where the same was briefed about the security mechanisms in place. Moreover, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mr. Ashfaq Khan professionally enlightened the delegation about the flaws observed in the Articles of Qanoon-e-Shahadat Order, 1984, regarding the recording of oral evidence, which hinders the administration of speedy and effective justice for the complainant. Additionally, the delegation got a first-hand experience of reviewing internal sectors of the prison, including the female ward, the juvenile sections, the kitchen and the hospital. The delegation found the visit to be sizeably informative and beneficial.
